Invitation to the Shop Annual Member’s Meeting

Members – ie existing Shareholders – please note that this year we have two items which require Members’ (ie Shareholders) approval by Extraordinary Resolution and voting:

1.  to adopt up-to-date, best practice Model Rules

2.  to agree the requirements for the new Share Offer, which will be released later in thesummer.

As part of the fund-raising campaign to build a new Shop, the Management Committee proposes to issue a new Share Offer. We are currently in the process of applying for the Community Shares Standard Mark which is a national standard for community shares, with all areas of the Shop business scrutinised for best practice and probity. Once received the Share Offer will be issued.

Members are required to vote to accept the terms of the Share Offer, details of which will be announced at the Annual Meeting. 

You may send a proxy to vote on your behalf, following the procedures in the Model Rules, or you may email the Chair, Pauline Johnson, on the Shop email.
