Future Plans - Exciting News!

The Shop has gained Planning Consent from Shropshire County Council to replace the current portacabin with a new, permanent building!  The Management Committee are talking to various companies about the new building which will be larger, allowing for better accessibility, easier movement within the Shop and more retail and storage space.  It will still sit aesthetically within its environment and the Village Hall and Parish Council are fully supportive of this adventurous project.

This gives us an incredible opportunity to ask the local community to invest in the future of the Shop, so that it can serve us all for many years to come.

The Shop has about £50,000 saved to kickstart the Building Fund, but we shall have to raise at least another £120,000 to get the new building up and running.  We hope to achieve this by a blended finance model which will include a new Community Share Issue, approaching Trusts and Foundations and the National Lottery and our own fundraising activities.

Watch this space as we shall update you regularly and look out for the dedicated pages which will explain all about the Community Share Issue – which will give you an opportunity to become a part owner of the Shop!
